Love Blooms at Bayberry House!
Braving the trials and tribulations of an impending blizzard, three men with romantic souls made their diverse ways to Bayberry House on February 14th, each bestowing a special Valentine's Day gift on the woman he loves.
With a winter weather warning on the horizon, we were unsure whether the guests who had reserved rooms for our Valentine's Day getaway would be arriving. Apparently, we did not take into account the resolve of these spirited New Englanders and their lovely ladies.
We are delighted everyone enjoyed their rooms, as well as the fresh flower bouquets, snack hampers, and other special amenities they received to make their stay a memorable one.
As we bid our loving couples adieu, my thoughts drifted toward the words of another hearty New Englander, Anne Bradstreet, who wrote in the mid-1600s:
“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome."
To our guests, like the indominable Ms. Bradstreet, winter's hardships only served to make the good times better.
We hope to see all of you again next year!
