Looking for that Holiday Spirit? Come to Gardens Aglow!
In case you didn't know, Boothbay Harbor doesn't roll up its sidewalks after Columbus Day, leaving its residents to hunker down around the pot-bellied stove until the Spring thaw. From November 17th until December 31st, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens comes to life with over 350,000 colored lights in its Gardens Aglow extravaganza. Open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week of the period (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve), the Botanical Gardens truly become a winter wonderland. Enjoy kettle corn, caramel apples, and cups of hot chocolate as you wander the Garden's paths, exploring each beautifully decorated thematic area. If you don't like driving at night, take the free shuttle bus that leaves every half hour from the Boothbay Harbor fire station. As one of our guests described her visit to Gardens Aglow last year, "It's not just a bunch of decorations, its truly a work of art."
Arrive early and spend the day enjoying the festivities of Boothbay Harbor's Festival of Lights, including Early Bird SHopping, the Festival of Trees, and Harbor Lights. The town is absolutely abuzz with activity as almost all shops and restaurants are open.
Bayberry House will be open for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday bookings from November 17th through December 30th. Book early as space is limited!
